YOUNG PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR

The Santa Barbara Young Professionals introduced the Young Professional of the Year Award in 2010, an award that is given every year to an individual age 45 or younger who has demonstrated the traits and actions of an exemplary young professional in our community. The SBYPC Board of Directors encourages everyone to nominate a young professional who exhibited a level of excellence in what they do.
HOW TO NOMINATE
NOMINATIONS CAN BE SUBMITTED USING THE ONLINE FORM FOR THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES
Someone who has shown that he/she can take charge and motivate others within his/her organization or in the community.
Someone who has demonstrated the ability to help other young professionals by utilizing his/her resources, knowledge or relationships to help some one else’s development.
Someone who has shown passion for a particular cause or causes by serving on non-profit/charity boards, committees or volunteers at charitable events in our community.
Someone who has demonstrated the ability to utilize his/her available resources, knowledge and relationships to build an organization and create value.
No, anyone can nominate a young professional for this award.
No, anyone can be nominated to win the Young Professional of the Year Award. However, they must meet the qualifications in order to win.
You’ll need some basic information about the person you are nominating including:
Category of Nomination
500 words or less why you are nomination this person
Causes/Service organizations involved with
Specific accomplishments that demonstrate nominee is deserving of the award
Resume or letter of recommendation file upload (PDF) (optional)
You will also need to submit some basic information about yourself and your relationship to the nominee. We ask that you provide contact information in case we need to obtain additional information.
You only need one nomination to be considered for the award. Multiple nominations does not equal multiple entries or greater chances of winning.
The winner is decided by a vote of the SBYPC Board of Directors.
The Top Five Finalists will be recognized and the winner announced during the 21st Annual Magic of Old Hollywood Holiday Gala Benefit on Saturday, December 16th. This is a celebratory occasion designed to honor the exemplary members of our community.
