Monthly Business Casual Mixers
The Santa Barbara Young Professionals hold monthly networking events that give our members and their guests the opportunity to meet new people and create business relationships for a lifetime. These events are free to members and foster interaction between young professionals and the business and nonprofit sectors of our community.

The Santa Barbara Young Professionals work closely with the community to offer our members discount pricing on entertainment, special events and other items of interest. These offers are designed to encourage young professionals to be more involved in our community.
FUEL for the Young Professional
FUEL is a quarterly series that provides the opportunity for learning and discussion with industry experts who offer a unique perspective for today’s young professional. Each event focuses on a different topic designed to empower our members to achieve success in their professional lives.
How To Join
To apply to become a member of SBYPC, please fill out a New Membership Application online or click the link in the menu bar at the top of the page.
Requirements
Any young professional who wishes to become a member must be sponsored by a current board member. While we welcome professionals of all ages to our events, in order to qualify for membership, applicants must be between the ages of 21-45.
Membership Dues
An annual membership is $60 for the first year and $40 to renew. Members who allow their membership to lapse will be required to re-apply and pay the new member dues. We allow a 60 day grace period for renewals. Dues can be paid online, over the phone, or in person at any event. We accept cash, checks, and most major credit cards. PayPal must be utilized for payments online.
New Membership Approvals
New members are considered once per month at our board meetings, which take place the last Tuesday of Every month. You’ll be notified via email shortly thereafter as to the status of your application. For questions regarding membership, please email membership@sbypc.org.
Membership FAQ
What if I don’t know a board member? How do I get sponsored?
The best way to meet a board member is to attend one of our monthly mixers. Check our calendar for time and location details of our next mixer. If you are able to attend, please send an email to board@sbypc.org to let us know that you’ll be coming as a first-timer. We’d love to meet you and introduce you to a few of our current members who can share their experience with you.
Can I pay by check?
We prefer that you pay online with a credit card or via PayPal, but we can also accept a check in person at one of our events or via mail. If you mail your check to our P.O. Box, please be sure to let us know. We only check the P.O. Box once per month and this may delay the processing of your application.
