SBYPC provides exciting networking opportunities to the Santa Barbara business community through monthly mixers, speaker engagements, fundraiser benefits and other special events throughout the year.
ANNUAL SUMMER Soirée
Our August Summer Soirée, formerly known as the Mega Mixer, has become one of our largest networking (and fundraising) events of the year. The Summer Soirée is one of our best attended events, second only to the Holiday Gala. 100% of proceeds from our Silent Auction go to support local Non-Profits.
This year’s Summer Soirée was held on Saturday, August 12th at CARR WINERY! Our members and guests enjoyed great conversation over a refreshing glass (or two) of wine/beer, while noshing on delicious Big Joe’s Tacos and listening to wonderful live music from TOM CANTILLON of Beta Play. We had a fantastic Silent Auction, full of incredible prizes, including gift certificates to EVOLUTION SPA, HOLDREN’S STEAK and SEAFOOD RESTAURANT, golf at SANDPIPER GOLF COURSE, and SANTA BARBARA SAILING CENTER, just to name a few!
We are so excited to announce this month’s Featured Non-Profit is our newly established SBYPC FOUNDATION, a tax deductible charity focused on providing financial and volunteer support to local charity organizations focused on bettering our community. Proceeds from the Silent Auction support this mission. In 2016, with your help, SBYPC donated over $5,000.00 to the TEDDY BEAR CANCER FOUNDATION in order to help a family with a child battling cancer pay for critical expenses. This year, we hope to donate over $10,000.00 to support our local community.

MONTHLY BUSINESS CASUAL MIXERS
Our Monthly Business Casual Mixers are typically held on the second Wednesday of each month (excluding August & December) from 5:30-7:30pm at unique locations each time. Open to the public, these events offer our members a chance to get to know one another in a friendly, casual atmosphere. Free for SBYPC members and just $10 for guests, our Monthly Mixers attract between 75-100 people on average.
Our Monthly Mixers are typically SPONSORED by a local company or for-profit organization, giving our members and guests an opportunity to learn about businesses in our Central Coast community.
Each month we also feature a local charitable NON-PROFIT providing valuable services in our community. We encourage our members to get involved with these organizations, whether it be giving your time or resources for support.

SANTA BARBARA Heart walk
For the second consecutive year, the SBYPC Board of Directors has sponsored a team to support the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association Santa Barbara Heart & Stroke Walk.
Our participation in the Heart Walk promotes fun ways to be physically active and make healthier choices everyday. Imagine the impact if we reduce death and disability from cardiovascular diseases and stroke by 20% by 2020. Please help us reach this live saving goal by donating to our team, or sponsoring your own team today. Last year we raised over $3,500.00 for the American Heart Association and hope to beat that number this year. Together, we can make healthier, longer lives possible for everyone.

ANNUAL HOLIDAY GALA BENEFIT
Our largest and most well-attended event of the year, attracting between 200-300 young professionals, the Annual Holiday Gala Benefit, held each year in December, is a fundraiser for our featured Non-Profit of the Year. During the Gala, the winner of the Santa Barbara Young Professional of the Year Award is announced from among the Top Five Finalists.
SAVE THE DATE! Our 21st Annual Santa Barbara Young Professionals The Magic of Old Hollywood Holiday Gala Benefit will be held on Saturday, December 16th at the Cabrillo Arts Pavilion. This will be our first Gala to be held on a Saturday and we are so excited to be in such a gorgeous venue overlooking the ocean. It’s already shaping up to be our best Gala yet!
